Cheltenham Civil Service AFC – Win Junior County Super Cup

Cheltenham Civil Service AFC won their first silverware of the new season on Friday 27th by winning the Gloucestershire County Junior Super Cup, which is a contest between the North and South Gloucestershire winners of last seasons Junior County Cups to see who will be the best in Gloucestershire. The match played at Gloucestershire FA headquarters in Almondsbury saw a hard fought victory for Civvy against AFC Mangotsfield Reserves by 2 goals to 1. A great result and credit to both teams for giving the spectators an excellent game of football.

Cheltenham Civil Service AFC Most Successful Year Ever ?

As the club comes up to its 70th birthday Season 2017/18 saw the club’s resurgence and they had one of the most successful seasons in their history.

The first team won the treble of Cheltenham Division 1, and therefore promotion back to the Gloucestershire Northern Senior League, Cheltenham Senior Charities Cup and Gloucestershire Junior County Cup.

The Reserves took the Cheltenham Division 2 title, reached the semi-final of the Gloucestershire Intermediate County Cup and were runners up in the Cheltenham Minor Charity Cup.

The third team were runners up in the Gloucestershire Minor County Cup and won the Cheltenham Primary Charity Trophy.

The Ladies side reached the semi-final of the Gloucestershire Womens Trophy.

The end of Season function will be a wash with trophies and could be a long night of presentations.

Football – County Cup Semi-Finals

All Four Adult teams have reached County Cup Semi-finals which will be played in March.

Cheltenham Civil Service v Bishops Cleeve ‘A’ on 3rd March at 2pm.

FC Barometrics Res v Cheltenham Civil Service Res on 3rd March at 2pm.

Kings Res v Cheltenham Civil Service 3rd on 3rd March at 2pm.

Cheltenham Civil Service Ladies v Cheltenham Town Ladies on 18th March at 2pm.
