CACSSA Volunteer of the Year 2024

CACSSA are delighted to announce that Stephen Holend was the worthy winner of this years CACSSA Volunteer of the Year Award. The award was presented by our new club president, Joe Wise.

Steve stood down as first team manager at the end of the last season after 9 years in charge. During this time, he has taken the club back to County league and had several successful seasons winning various titles during this time.

Steve has been instrumental over the years and has made several improvements to the football club. Steve is always on hand to support the club when needed. He will be the first to volunteer and to undertake the various duties involved when running a successful club.

Steve’s volunteering has extended to several off field activities, such as seeking much needed sponsorship and funding, the football club so desperately need to remain a successful and competitive club. He’s also put his culinary skills to good use, by providing post match food to the players last season.

Steve will be sadly missed as the football clubs first team manager, however he will remain involved with the club and with the support of other volunteers, will make further improvements within the football club.

Alan Wakefield, football club chairman said, “I honestly believe the football club would not have been in the position it is today on and off the field, without the enthusiasm and energy Steve has provided over the years”.

Volunteers are the lifeblood of CACSSA and we are always seeking new members to support the club. If you are interested in helping, please email Neville Thomas, General Manager – manager@cacssa.co.uk.
