The club is based at the Tewkesbury Road Sports ground (Map). There are four courts, two are floodlit.

The club runs three open social sessions per week which anyone can play at as well as entering teams in the Gloucestershire league. Members may use the courts at any time providing no matches are taking place. The club welcomes players wanting to either play socially, competitively or both. Members are entitled to use the courts at any time outside league match fixtures and free balls are available.

Membership

2010/2011 Membership is now available to all CACSSA members. This includes free tennis balls for general play. Membership of the Tennis Club runs from 1 April 2010 to 31 March 2011.

Please see the Membership Form (PDF) for more details.

Social Tennis
This is played on Tuesday (4 courts) and Thursday (3 courts) evenings.  On these occasions it is the policy of the Club for players to mix in as much as possible.  This means that after playing a short or tie-break set, a four must finish and rejoin the ladder of people waiting.  When a court becomes free the person whose name is at the top of the ladder picks a four from the first eight on the list.  For the 2010/11 season, social tennis officially starts on Tuesday April 6th .  Tennis balls are provided.

Matches
This season the Club has 4 ladies and 5 mens teams in the Gloucestershire League. Home matches are played on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays and will normally take up courts 2 and 3. Occasionally it may be necessary to use all 4 courts or to play some matches on Saturday afternoon, but these events will be detailed either in the Membership Card or on the Club noticeboard. The Membership Card gives details of all league matches. For members keen to impress the team captains, we hold early season practice  nights at which one aim is to seek out new talent for the league campaigns. All members are welcome to these sessions which this year take place as follows: for the Men, Friday (6.30) and Sunday (2pm) from  February 26th, and for the Ladies, Wednesday (6.30) and Saturday (3pm) from February 24th.  At anytime, other than Tuesday and Thursday evenings and Sunday afternoons, when courts are free they are available for members to arrange their own games. Whenever there are people waiting for a court the general rule is that the court must be given up at the end of the current set.

Tournaments and League Tennis

The club organises an annual closed tournament consisting of Ladies and Men's singles as well as mixed doubles. American/Round Robin tournaments are also held on Sundays once per month (see joining notes above) between May and August.

The club has three ladies' and four men's teams in the Gloucestershire League. There is also a team entered into the winter mixed league.
